摘  要:罗素的儿童教育观是其现代哲学、心理学、社会学等思想融合在教育上的体现,彰显了教育民主与科学的精神。在儿童教育上,罗素认为,早期教育可以在很大程度上决定人的品性,开展得越早越好。在儿童教育维度上,他反对由来已久的过分强调知识教育的做法,认为应当重视身体教育、心理健康教育、社会品性教育、“智力美德”和建设性技能的培养,强调通过全面教育来促进儿童健康成长;在儿童教育路径上,罗素提出了“儿童中心”式的教育方式,即为儿童提供充足的游戏机会、促进儿童伙伴间的交往及适宜的评价等,以保障其愉快、自由、主动学习。罗素的儿童教育观在欧洲“新教育运动”中占据重要的地位,有重要的现实意义。Russell’s view of children’s education is the embodiment of his modern philosophy,psychology,sociology and other thoughts in education,which shows the spirit of democracy and science in education.In terms of children’s education,Russell believed that early education can largely determine a person’s character,pointing out that the earlier the education,the better.In terms of the dimension of children’s education,he opposed the long-standing practice of over-emphasizing knowledge education,and proposed physical education,psychological health education,social character education,the cultivation of“intellectual virtue”,and the cultivation of constructive skills,emphasizing that comprehensive education is required to promote the healthy growth of children.In the path of children’s education,Russell proposed a child-centered education method,which provides children with sufficient opportunities for play,promotes communication between children’s partners and appropriate evaluations to ensure their enjoyable,free,and active learning.Russell’s view of children’s education occupies an important position in the European New Educational Movement and has important practical significance.
