摘　　要：回顾了湖南近代工业发展历程,探讨了楚怡工业学校创办的湖南职业教育背景,在湖湘文化视域下对楚怡职教精神开展溯源:一是爱国兴工、敢为人先的创新精神;二是经世致用、躬行实践的求知精神;三是注重教育、锐意进取的改革精神。This paper reviews the modern industrial development of Hunan,discusses the background of Hunan vocational education when founding Chuyi Industrial School.From the perspective of Hunan culture horizon,the origin of Chuyi vocational education has been traced,the first is the innovation spirit of making pioneering efforts and patriotism;the second is curious spirit of humanistic pragmatism and practice personally;and the third is the reform spirit of education first and forge ahead.
