摘 要:基于自建语料库,探讨中美应用语言学方向博士在学位论文英文摘要中如何使用自我指称语并用其构建作者身份。研究发现,中美作者在使用自我指称语构建作者身份上异同互见,但差异更为明显。这些共性和差异可以从礼貌原则、学术传统和文化传统三方面得到解释。Based on self-built corpora,this study explores how Chinese doctors and their American counterparts use self-mentions and what identities they construct through the use of self-mentions in the English abstracts of their PhD dissertations from the discipline of applied linguistics.It is found that both similarities and differences are shown by Chinese and American writers in the use of self-mentions to construct authorial identity,but the differences are more obvious.These similarities and differences can be explained from three aspects:politeness principle,academic tradition and cultural conventions.
