海明威《白象似的群山》隐喻意象探微

摘　　要：文学作品中的隐喻作为一种特殊的语言表达方式,旨在展示作品的言外之意。海明威的短篇小说《白象似的群山》以叙述男女之争的故事为线索,多次出现“山”“酒”“白象”等极具隐喻意味的意象。这些隐喻意象表现出作者长期被压抑的情感的迸发。只有透过隐喻意象感知主人公的渴望、期待、认知和感受,才能准确掌握作者的创作意图。Metaphor in literary works,as a special way of language expression,aims to show the implication of the work.Hemingway’s short story Hills like White Elephants takes describing the story of the struggle between men and women as a clue,and many metaphorical images such as“hills”,“wine”and“white elephant”have appeared many times.These metaphorical images show the explosion of the author’s long-depressed emotional world.Only by perceiving the protagonist’s desire,expectation,cognition and feeling through metaphor can the author’s creative intention be accurately understood.
