英国医生梅威令与晚清中国的西医教育

摘　　要：随着西方医学的逐渐传播和影响力扩大,西医教育也逐渐在晚清中国发展起来。1879年梅威令医生来到中国后便开始关注中国战时医疗救护人员缺失问题,并希望通过开办医学校、招收当地学生的方式培养中国本土的西医。1886至1888年间,他的学生参加西医考试受到媒体的广泛关注。通过对比《申报》、西文报纸和梅威令自己撰写的医学教学计划书,可发现当时国人在认识西医时不同的价值取向和侧重点。同时,这些媒体对梅威令西医教育活动的报道拉近了国人与西医之间的距离,促进了西医在中国的传播与发展。With the gradual spread and influence of western medicine, western medicine education gradually developed in the late Qing China. After Doctor William Wykeham Myers came to China in 1879, he began to pay attention to the shortage of medical rescue personnel in China during the war, and hoped to cultivate local western medicine in China by opening medical schools and recruiting local students. Between 1886 and 1888, his students’ participation in western medicine exams received wide medium attention. By comparing the medical teaching plans written by Shenpao, western newspapers and Doctor William Wykeham Myers himself, it can be found that Chinese people had different value orientation and emphases in understanding western medicine at that time. At the same time, the reports on the western education activities in Doctor William Wykeham Myers narrowed the distance between Chinese people and western medicine, and promoted the spread and the development of western medicine in China.
