现代东西方金属编织艺术现状及在现代设计中的应用

摘　　要：编织工艺是人类最古老的手工艺之一,可追溯到古代印加人的结绳记事。编织技艺历经万年,为适应人类现代社会生活的不同需求,编织工艺在材料的选择与工艺手法上已发展出很多类别。在科技高速发展的时代,传统手工制品的市场也越来越窄。手工艺人赚到的钱越来越少,传统手工艺的衰落是社会发展的必然结果,是必须积极面对的现实。为了让传统技艺在现代社会广为流传,只是对其进行单一的保护并不能发挥它的文化作用,无法在现代社会实践与应用,那将会产生技艺的断层。所以要想将传统手工艺保存并沿用,就一定要将传统与现代相互融合。传统手工艺种类繁多,艺术形式丰富,工艺的传承,都是需要继承和发展的对象,也是现代设计取之不尽的灵感库。本文以金属编织工艺为例,研究东西方金属编织工艺的差异,并分析现代金属编织工艺在现代设计中的发展现状。Weaving is one of the oldest crafts of mankind, dating back to the ancient Inca knotting of strings. The art of weaving has evolved over thousands of years and has developed a wide range of categories in terms of choice of materials and techniques to suit the different needs of human life in modern society. In an era of rapid technological development, the market for traditional handicrafts is becoming narrower. Craftsmen earn less and less money. The decline of traditional crafts is an inevitable result of social development and a reality that must be actively faced. In order to make traditional skills widespread in modern society, just preserving them singularly does not bring its cultural role into play, it cannot be practised and applied in modern society, and that will create a fault line in the skills. To preserve and use traditional crafts, it is essential to integrate tradition with modernity. The wide variety of traditional handicrafts, the richness of their artistic forms and the heritage of their craft are all objects that need to be inherited and developed, as well as being an inexhaustible reservoir of inspiration for modern design. This paper takes the study of metal weaving as an example, examining the differences between Eastern and Western metal weaving processes and analysing the current state of development of modern metal weaving processes in furniture design.
