摘　　要：Teaching English as a Foreign Language,TEFL,is the type of English learning and teaching which has the largest learner population worldwide,especially in nations such as China.Although this term TEFL is now less frequently used than TESL or TESOL,the problems experienced by large numbers of EFL learners remain.Theories related to SLA,CLT and TBI have proved ineffective in providing solutions for Non-NESTs in countries like China that have a poor English environment.
