摘　　要：Paraganglioma or extra-adrenal pheochromocytomas are uncommon tumors causing considerable difficulty in both diagnosis and treatment.Its complete surgical removal is often challenging as these tumors are highly vascularized and near blood vessels.Non-functional paragangliomas pose a significant diagnostic challenge.In the absence of typical symptoms of catecholamine excess,the diagnosis of such tumors is often delayed.We report a case of a 50-year old man presenting with bilateral hernia who had a retroperitoneal tumor situated at the left para aortic.Serum catecholamine levels were normal.Complete resection of the tumor was performed.The histological examination and immunehistochemical analyses concluded the diagnosis of an organ of paraganglioma.
