摘　　要：定襄郡是西汉时期的北部边郡之一。由于史书记载过于简略,史学界对其确切的建置时间等问题一直未能达成共识。其所处的河套一带是汉匈战争前期双方争夺的主要区域。汉朝为了抵抗匈奴入侵,先后设立包括定襄郡在内的很多郡县,以求稳固在这一地区的统治。因此,只有将定襄郡的建置问题放在汉匈战争的大背景下进行讨论才能有所突破。本文通过分析定襄郡设置的政治地理基础,揭示其如何通过与周边各边郡的结合,建成汉朝在北部边境的战略后方基地,进而在战争中帮助汉王朝在这一地区逐步取得优势,并最终击败匈奴。Dingxiang County was one of the northern border counties in the Western Han Dynasty.Due to the concise historical records,the historians have never reached a consensus on the exact construction time and other issues.The Hetao area where it is located is the main area that the two sides competed in the early Han-Hungarian War.In order to resist the Huns’invasion,the Han Dynasty successively established many counties,including Dingxiang County,in order to stabilize its rule in this area.Therefore,only when the establishment of Dingxiang County is discussed in the context of the Han-Hungarian War can a breakthrough be made.This article analyzes the political and geographical basis of Dingxiang County and reveals how it combined with the surrounding counties to build a strategic rear base of the Han Dynasty on the northern border,and then helped the Han Dynasty gradually gain an advantage in this area during the war.And finally defeated the Xiongnu.
