摘　　要：稀土是重要的战略资源。稀土术语及其译名标准化,有利于扩大我国稀土标准和技术的国际影响力。本文基于稀土术语国家标准和国际标准,追溯并分析稀土术语的命名来源、构词特征及意义单位,结合语义分析和译语规范,指出该领域单词型术语宜主要采用形声结合、词组型术语采用形义结合的翻译策略,其它领域科技术语翻译亦应溯其源、循其法、译其义,以提升术语翻译质量。Rare earth is an important strategic resource.The standardization of rare earth terminologies and their translations contributes to the global influence of China’s rare earth standards and technologies.Based on the analysis of the China National Standard for rare earth terminologies and the International Standard of rare earth terminologies,this paper investigates the nomenclature rules,word formation,and meaning units of rare earth terms.It is proposed that transliteration be used to translate single-word terms that phrase terms be translated by literal translation based on semantic analysis.Translation of technical terms in other fields should also observe the same general procedure.
