美国汉学家梅丹理汉学译介的三重关联与独特贡献

摘　　要：美国汉学家梅丹理在中国古代哲学和中国当代诗歌的研究与译介方面颇有成就。梅丹理的《易经》研究结合符号学、人类学等多种研究方法,分析《易经》中意象的审美意蕴及其所包含的世界观、宇宙观,进而将之融入到中国当代诗歌的分析研究之中,为中国当代诗歌的研究提供了新路径。在诗歌译介方面,梅丹理特别关注中国少数民族诗人,尤其是彝族诗人吉狄马加的诗作,他认为其诗作蕴含着“观念的音乐性”,传达出深厚的文化底蕴。此外,梅丹理的中英文诗歌创作既包含美国自由体诗的形式与风格,又借鉴了中国古代诗歌中的意境与格局,进一步加强了中美文学文化之间的交流互鉴。Denis Mair,an American sinologist,has made great achievements in the study and translation of ancient Chinese philosophy and contemporary Chinese poetry.Denis Mair’s study combines semiotics,anthropology and other research methods to analyze the aesthetic meaning of the images in the Book and the cosmological and world outlook it contains,and then brings it into the analysis and research of contemporary Chinese poetry,which provides a new way for the study of contemporary Chinese poetry.In the aspect of poetry translation,Denis Mair pays special attention to the poems of Chinese minority poets,especially yi poet Ji Dimaga,who believes that his poems contain"ideational musicality"and convey a profound culture.In addition,Denis Mair’s Chinese and English poetry creation not only contains the form and style of American free-form poetry,but also draws on the mood and pattern of ancient Chinese poetry,and further communicates the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and American literature and culture.
