摘  要:The biological basis of consciousness is one of the hardest questions in Science[1].To understand how consciousness arises from physical components,the brain has been studied systematically for decades.Damage to some structures of the brainstem leads to temporary or persistent loss of consciousness,yet damage to other parts of the brain may lead to limited deficits in certain aspects of awareness.
