乡村中的文本流通与文本知识的传播——对19世纪闽东山区陈氏家族藏书的初步观察

摘　　要：福建省屏南县龙潭里陈氏家族留下了从18世纪到20世纪初的刻本书籍与手抄写本。文章利用这批实际被使用过的书籍,从四个方面讨论乡村的文本流通与文本知识的传播:一是,占刻本书籍比率最高的科举用书,显现出此山区社群在地方权力结构改变下,为培养参与科举考试能力而引进外部文本知识所做的努力。二是,陈氏能成为龙潭里唯一有功名的家族,从其家族仪式专家传统及其科仪本的传抄和收集来看,可能是因为之前已具备操作复杂文字的能力,这亦可见仪式文字传统较科举更早进入此家族。三是,从板刻与手抄的蒙书可以看出,作为吸收与使用文本知识的基础,培养识字能力在地方社群中非常重要。四是,龙潭里留下的众多文书的范本与参考书,表现出这些书籍正是他们生产地方文献的知识基础,以及文书使用在地方上日渐普及所制造出来的需求,但是,地方社群也不是对外来的刻本内容照单全收,龙潭里的读者不仅主动拣选刻本内容,且也留下了将普及性文本知识地方化并将地方性知识文本化的写本手册。Plenty of block-printed books and manuscripts from the 18th century to the early 20th century are kept by the Chen family in Longtanli,Pingnan County,Fujian Province.This paper discusses text circulation and the transmission of text knowledge in rural areas from four aspects by analyzing block-printed books and manuscripts in this family collection.Firstly,the imperial examination books,which account for the highest proportion of block-printed books,show the efforts made by this mountainous community to introduce external textual knowledge in order to cultivate the ability to participate in the imperial examinations under the change of the local power structure.Secondly,the Chen family can become the only famous family in Longtanli.Judging from the tradition of the family’s ritual experts and the copying and collection of the ritual books,it may be because they have the ability to manipulate complex characters before.This also shows that the tradition of ritual writing entered this family earlier than the imperial examination.Thirdly,as can be seen from the block-printed and handwritten books for education,as the basis for the absorption and use of textual knowledge,the development of literacy skills is very important in local communities.Fourthly,the many exemplars and reference books of various documents left in Longtanli show that these books are the knowledge base for their production of local documents,and the demand created by the increasing use of documents in the local area.However,the local community does not accept all the contents of the block-printed editions from outside.The readers in Longtanli not only actively select the contents of block-printed editions,but also leave written manuals that localize popular textual knowledge and textualize local knowledge.
