摘 要:中和之美是汉代经学家们共同认可的核心审美观。《白虎通义》被认为是展现汉代中和之美的作品之一。关于《白虎通义》中展现的汉代“中和之美”与之前时代相比是否有偏差这一问题,依旧存在讨论的空间。作为汉代“中和之美”继承关系研究的补充,本文阐释《白虎通义》中的“中和”内涵,认为其作为社会生活、政治制度、文化、伦理道德等各方面的行为标准,主要贯彻了“中和之美”中“得中”的方式,而忽略了“阴阳相平”的目标。也就是说,《白虎通义》其实是一部具体展现汉代社会“礼”的作品,因此,“中和之美”在《白虎通义》中真正得到落实的仅是其内涵的一部分内容。The beauty of harmony is the core aesthetie criterion recognized by scholars of Confucian classics in Han Dynasty.Bai Hu Tong Yi is regarded as one of the works showing the beauty of harmony in Han Dynasty.As for the aesthetics of"harmony"presented in Bai Hu Tong Yi,researchers have mostly focused on its inheritance relationship while ignoring the interpreta-tion of its specific connotation.Therefore,there is still room for discussion on whether the"beauty of harmony"in Han Dynasty presented in Bai Hu Tong Yi and the previous era.As a supplement to the research on the in-heritance relationship of"the beauty of harmony"in Han Dynasty,this paper explains the connotation of"harmony"in Bai Hu Tong Yi,and holds that as a criterion for social life,political system,culture,ethics and other as-pects,it mainly carries out the way to"harmony"while ignoring the goal of keeping a balance between Yin and Y ang.That is to say,Bai Hu Tong Yi is actually a work that shows the social"ceremony"in Han Dynas-ty.Therefore,only part of its connotation is truly implemented in Bai Hu Tong Yi.
