清末民国时期有关“东南互保”的历史记忆与现实政治

摘　　要：东南互保是义和团运动期间爆发的一个重大政治和外交事件,在中国近代史上产生了独特而深远的影响。一直以来,学界对“东南互保”的研究集中于对相关史实的考索,而鲜少注意作为历史事件的“东南互保”与现实政治之间的纠葛。由于“东南互保”集中暴露了列强与中国、中央与地方、殖民与反帝等重大矛盾冲突,而这些矛盾冲突在之后的时代又有愈演愈烈之势,从而使得本已成为了“史迹”的“东南互保”,不断被重新拉回到现实之中。民国时期,“东南互保”之历史记忆屡次被政治浪潮所激活,包括北洋军阀、联省自治派以及中国共产党在内的各种政治力量,均将其视作打造政治话语或实现政治目的的有效历史资源。The mutual protection of southeast China is a significant political and diplomatic event during the period of the Boxer Rebellion,which had exerted a profound influence on China's modern history.However,academics have long been focusing their study of this historical event on facts and seldom pay their attention to the complication between this movement and its practical politics.This paper suggests that,with the sheer exposure of fierce conflicts between foreign powers and China,central government and provinces,colonization and anti-imperialist,and also with the fact that these conflicts were increasingly escalating in the following period of times,the significance and meaningfulness of this event,despite a historic debris,have been rethought and revisited in retrospect.During the period of the Republic of China,the memory of the mutual protection of southeast China has been repeatedly ignited by various political forces including the Northern Warlords,joint provincial self-government groups and the Chinese Communist Party,in that they all regarded the event as a valuable historical resource to build political influence and achieve their political goals.
