摘　　要：中国南海形象具有符号建构性,而外交翻译是其中重要的一支建构力量。它不仅能建构出自塑式的中国南海形象,还能建构出交往式的中国南海形象。外交译员通过自塑式建构策略的选择与运用塑造出中国南海形象的“精神家园”,再通过交往式建构策略的选择与运用实现中国南海形象在中柬、中美、中越关系场域的确立与重构。外交翻译的自塑式与交往式建构策略的提出,为中国南海形象建构带来了积极的实践意义与理论效应,有助于推动中国南海形象在新时代背景下形成新的建构思路与话语形态。Diplomatic translation is an important constructive force serving the image of the South China Sea,which constructs not only a self-shaping image of the South China Sea,but also a communicative one.Diplomatic translators construct the"spiritual home"of the image of the South China Sea through the choice and application of self-shaping strategies,and then establish and reconstruct the image of the South China Sea in the fields of Sino-Cambodia,Sino-US,and Sino-Vietnam relations through the choice and application of the communication-shaping strategies.With the self-shaping and communication-shaping strategies of diplomatic translation put forward,the construction of the image of the South China Sea will gain the positive practical significance and theoretical effect.Furthermore,new ideas and discourse forms will be generated for the construction of the image of the South China Sea in the new era.
