摘　　要：维多利亚时代变革的重要标志之一便是铁路的出现。铁路的修建和火车的发明给人们的出行和生活带来了便利,同时也引发了社会问题。维多利亚文人通过写作表达他们对铁路的焦虑,铁路事故的频发引发文人对生命危机的同情;铁路修建带来的环境破坏引起文人对生态环境危机的忧思;铁路犯罪与投机倒把触发了文人对道德危机的痛斥。The emergence of railways was one of the important signs of change in the Victorian era.The construction of railways and the invention of trains have not only brought convenience to people’s travel and life,but also caused social problems. Victorian writers expressed their anxiety through writing. The frequent occurrence of railway accidents triggered writers’ sympathy for life. The environmental damage brought about by the railway construction caused their worry about the ecological environment. Railway crime and speculation increased moral crisis.
