摘 要:英属印度茶叶种植的起始是外源性的,东北部阿萨姆地区的土著居民没有植茶、制茶和饮茶的历史。成功雇用大量熟练劳工以应对劳工短缺与扩大生产规模间矛盾是英属印度茶业兴起和发展需要解决的首要问题。本文以近代英属印度主要产茶区阿萨姆的茶叶种植为中心,全面系统梳理茶叶劳工雇用的历史阶段和特点,分析英印殖民政府采用的劳工雇用方式、各个阶段颁布的劳工雇用、管理法案等基本问题,在全面重构阿萨姆茶叶劳工雇用历史图景的基础上,点明其为阿萨姆乃至整个印度东北部地区的近代发展带来的影响。The origin of tea planting in British India was exogenous, and the aborigines of Assam region in the northeast India had no history of planting, making and drinking tea. Successfully employing a large number of skilled workers to cope with the contradiction between labor shortage and expansion of production scale was the primary problem to be solved for the rise and development of tea industry in British India. This paper centers on the tea planting of Assam, which is the major production areas of the modern British India, combs historical stages and characteristics of the employment of tea labor comprehensively and systematically, and analyzes the basic problems such as the ways of labor employment, the labor management acts introduced by British India colonial government in different stages. It tries to point out the influence to the modern development of Assam and even the whole northeast India.
