摘　　要：在改革开放以来中国经济伦理学的发展中,《西方经济伦理思想史——经济的伦理内涵与社会文明的演进》可被视作相关领域进步的一个标志性成果,该著作虽然属于“伦理思想史”的范围,但已经达到了为经济伦理学奠定理论基础的道德和经济哲学层次。此书关于伦理道德和经济伦理基本问题的确定、对西方经济伦理思想史的道德主题的论证,以及从经济的目的、规范到社会文明类型的研究,对于我们汲取西方经济伦理思想的积极成果,使市场在资源配置中起决定性作用和更好发挥政府作用,具有重要的借鉴意义。当然,为进一步深化探讨“经济的伦理内涵与社会文明的演进”问题,我们还需要更广泛、更充分地利用历史学的全球史和比较文明学等研究的成果。The History of Western Economic Ethics: The Ethical Connotation of Economy and the Evolution of Social Civilization could be viewed as the latest landmark in the development of China’s economic ethics since reform and opening up. Originally belonging to the scope of “intellectual history of ethics”, the book has a moral, economic and philosophical vigor which lays the theoretical foundation for economic ethics. This book merits our reference because it determines the basic issues of moral and economic ethics, demonstrates the moral themes in the history of Western economic ethics, and researches on the purpose and norms of the economy and the types of social civilization. It is conducive to the learning of the positive achievements of Western economic ethics, to better enable the market to play a decisive role in the allocation of resources and to enable the government to play a better role. In order to further discuss the issue of “the ethical connotation of economy and the evolution of social civilization”, we need to make more extensive and full use of the research findings of global history and comparative civilization studies.
