摘　　要：在元代南北统一之初,文坛南北隔阂的情况下,被北方学者看好荐入翰林国史院的袁桷,成了打通南北隔阂、促进南北文人交流与文风融合的关键人物。他之所以能发挥这一独特作用,与他的学术背景有关。他独特的学术背景,以及由此形成的学术特点,为南北学界与文坛普遍认可并接受。考察袁桷的学术背景,才能清楚把握其学术特点,弄清他何以能完成打通南北文坛的历史性使命。这对于理清元代文学发展的线索,异常重要。When the Yuan dynasty unified the country,the cultural gap between the North and the South was difficult to reconcile.Yuan Jue was an important person in bridging the gap between the North and South and promoting the literati’s exchange and the integration of literary styles.His ability to play this unique role lay in his academic background and achievement features,which was widely recognized and accepted by both the North and South academic and literary circles.By examining Yuan Jue’s academic background,we can better understand his academic characteristics so as to find out how he could accomplish the historic mission of integrating the literary circles of the North and the South.This is very important in clarifying the literary development in the Yuan dynasty.
