摘 要:提出一种在近红外波段具有高保偏、低损耗、优良弯曲特性的新型混合结构空芯保偏光纤。在19 cell光子带隙空芯光纤纤芯内添加双层反谐振弧形薄壁,形成创新性混合结构,在保持带隙型空芯光纤优良弯曲特性的同时,通过降低其反谐振结构的对称性,增强保偏特性。数值分析结果表明,对于1550nm波长光,双折射值可高达1.36×10^(-3)对应两偏振基模限制损耗分别为1.24×10^(-5)dB/km,4.64×1O^(-4)dB/km;弯曲半径为5 mm时,两偏振基模的损耗均小于1O^(-2)dB/km。对制作容差所进行的分析结果表明,该空芯保偏光纤在弧形薄壁曲率小范围制备误差情况下能保持良好的传输及保偏特性。光子带隙与反谐振混合结构,将为小弯曲半径下高保偏、低损耗空芯光纤的结构创新探索提供新动力,其优良性能也会有力地推动空芯保偏光纤的应用发展。A new type of hybrid structure hollow-core polarization-maintaining fiber with high polarization-maintaining,low loss and excellent bending characteristics in the near-infrared band is proposed.The innovative hybrid structure is formed by adding a double-layer anti-resonance arc-shaped thin-wall in the core of the 19 cell photonic bandgap(PB)hollow-core fiber.On the premise of maintaining the excellent bending characteristics of the PB hollow-core fiber,the birefringence is enhanced by reducing the symmetry of the anti-resonance(AR)effect.The results of numerical simulation show that the maximum birefringence is 1.36×10^(-3)at the wavelength of 1550 nm,and the corresponding confinement losses of the two fundamental modes are 1.24×10^(-5)dB/km and 4.64×10^(-4)dB/km,respectively.When the fiber is bent to a bending radius of 5 mm,the confinement loss of the two polarization fundamental modes can be less than 10^(-2)dB/km.The analysis of fabrication robustness shows that the PB-AR hybrid structure fiber has good transmission and polarization-maintaining characteristics even when the curvature of the arc-shaped thin-wall is changed in a small range.The PB-AR hybrid structure will provide a new impetus for structural innovation and exploration of hollow-core fiber with high polarization-maintaining and low loss characteristics under small bending radius.The excellent performance of the hybrid structure fiber will also promote the application of the hollow-core polarization-maintaining fiber.
