摘　　要：在《新加坡儒学史》一书中,严春宝从文化传播史的角度全面系统地总结了儒学在新加坡传承与发展的全部历史过程,弥补了新加坡儒学史研究的空白。严春宝通过对林文庆儒学论著资料的整理、翻译及研究,认为林文庆是新加坡儒学史上具有里程碑意义的一个重要人物,一定程度上恢复了林文庆在新加坡儒学史上应有的地位。严春宝的学术贡献还体现于对国内外学术界在新加坡儒学研究中存在问题的纠失与补短。此书搜集了大量原始资料,但仍不免有重要史料遗漏,在部分章节的写作上内容稍嫌单薄,分量不够厚重。In his book A History of Confucianism in Singapore,Yan Chunbao comprehensively and systematically summarizes the entire historical process of the inheritance and development of Confucianism in Singapore from the perspective of the history of cultural transmission.This book fills a gap in the history of Confucianism,and lays the foundation for the first comprehensive history in this area of study.Through the collation,translation and research of Lim Boon Keng’s Confucian works,Yan Chunbao finds that Lim Boon Keng is an important figure in the history of Confucianism in Singapore,and to a certain extent restores Lim Boon Keng’s place in the history of Confucianism in Singapore.Yan Chunbao’s academic contribution is also reflected in correcting and compensating for problems in the research of Confucianism in Singapore in academic circles at home and abroad.
