摘　　要：《天黑前的夏天》描述了中产阶级中年女性凯特自我意识的觉醒和自我成长的故事。主人公在梦中遇见一只受伤的海豹,实质上这只海豹是凯特自身的映射,通过一种更为隐晦的方式来描绘了女性与自然之间的共情关系。小说作者多丽丝·莱辛,正是以关注女性和自然的视角,来彰显现代社会文明。从三个维度解读父权制控制下的女性与自然、共情关系与未来发展,不仅能让读者了解主人公凯特的成长历程,同时也能够进一步明确其生态女性主义思想。"The Summer Before the Dark"describes the awakening of self-consciousness and self-growth of a middle-class and middle-aged woman Kate.The protagonist meets an injured seal in his dream.In essence,this seal is a reflection of Kate herself,portraying the empathic relationship between women and nature in a more obscure way.Doris Lessing,the author of the novel,demonstrates the civilization of modern society from the perspective of focusing on women and nature.This paper interprets the relationship between women and nature,empathy and future development under the control of patriarchy from three dimensions,which can not only let readers understand the growth process of Kate,but also further clarify her thought of eco-feminism.
