摘 要:甲骨文中有两个字,一是从米从覃的“■”,一是从禾从水的“■”。先前唐兰等文字学家以为从米从覃的“■”是“稻”;晚近则有不少学者提出从水从禾的“■”是“稻”。苏成爱从商代先民主粮,饮醴风尚,后世用语习惯,并结合文字的用例、音韵、字形,酒器器形、作物农时等方面加以论证,得出常与“■”对贞的“■”是“糯”的结论。本文对苏文证据一一加以检讨,认为这些证据大多较难成立,甲骨文中“糯”字存在的可能性很小。There are two characters in the oracle bone script,one consisting of the word for cereal grain after shelling and"jug"for a wine altar,and the other consisting of the radicals for seedlings and water.The former was originally interpreted as rice;the latter was originally interpreted as millet,and then it has also been interpreted as rice.Now,Mr.SU Cheng'ai has reinterpreted both of them,and he has examined them from the perspective of the Shang dynasty's food,drinking customs,and language habits,combined with textual usage,phonetics,character shapes,vessel shapes,and agricultural times,and concluded that they are"rice"and"glutinous rice"respectively.In this paper,we review the evidence of SU and conclude that most of them are hardly to establish,and the possibility of the existence of the word"glutinous rice"in the oracle bones is very small.
