摘　　要：The Odor of Chrysanthemum depicts the destruction of the natural ecology by capitalist industrialization and machine civilization,the imbalance of social ecology and the crisis of human spiritual ecology caused by it.Lawrence expressed great concern about the impact of industrialization on the human world.Lawrence deeply deplores the destruction of nature by industrial civilization,the alienation of relations between people,and the spiritual crisis caused by mankind.The works not only appealed to and warned the people at that time,but also had a significance that could not be ignored in today’s highly developed scientific and technological civilization,which aroused people’s sense of distress about the deterioration of the natural environment.
