克拉克·克尔“多元巨型大学”观对我国一流大学建设的启示

摘　　要：“多元巨型大学”观是克拉克·克尔高等教育思想的核心,“多元巨型大学”有别于传统大学,拥有不同于传统大学的特点,多元化的大学功能、多元化的管理模式、大学校长角色亦多元化。这些特点对我国一流大学建设具有以下启示:扩充大学功能,一流大学除基本的教学、科研、服务社会功能外更应注重国际交往功能;完善大学管理,一流大学需重视政治权利与学术权力之间的平衡,使两者良性发展;重视大学校长选聘,一流大学校长应具备多种能力,尤其是开放的国际视野。The concept of "multiversity" is the core of Clark Kerr’s higher education thought. "Multiversity" is different from traditional universities in its characteristics, including diversified university functions, diversified management mode and diversified role of university president. These characteristics have the following implications for the construction of first-class universities in China: we should expand the functions of universities. First-class universities should pay more attention to the functions of international communication in addition to the basic functions of teaching, scientific research and serving the society;We should perfect university management. First-class universities should pay attention to the balance between political power and academic power, so that both can develop well;We should attach great importance to the selection and recruitment of university presidents. The presidents of first-class universities should possess various abilities, especially an open international vision.
