摘　　要：龚自知是民国时期云南著名的教育家。他在1929年至1945年期间两度担任云南省教育厅厅长,成为民国时期担任此职位时间最长的人,使他拥有足够的时间来完成对云南近代教育体系的建设。在任职期间,他主张教育经费独立、教育行政集权、重视师范教育、发展民众教育和实行依法治教,由此奠定了基本完善的近代云南教育体系,为近代云南教育事业作出不可磨灭的贡献。GONG Zi-zhi was a famous educator in Yunnan during the Republic of China. From 1929 to 1945, he served as director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education twice, becoming the longest-serving person in this position during the Republic of China, giving him enough time to complete the construction of the modern education system in Yunnan. During his tenure, he advocated independence of education funding, centralized education administration, emphasis on teacher education, development of public education and the implementation of law-based education, thus establishing a basic and perfect modern education system in Yunnan and making an indelible contribution to education in modern Yunnan.
