摘　　要：英语专业四级考试(TEM 4)旨在检测英语专业学生是否掌握英语语言基础知识,夯实英语语言基本功并具备实际运用英语语言的能力。文章基于英语专业四级考试与高校英语专业学生语言基本功培养的关系分析,深入剖析学生如何能够在平时英语语言知识学习并打好语言基本功的同时应对英语专业四级考试,并取得优异成绩。TEM 4 is designed to test whether students who major in English have mastered the basic knowledge of English language and consolidated the basic skills of English language. This paper aims to analyze the relationship between TEM 4 and the cultivation of basic language skills for English majors in colleges. It also shows the deep analysis on how to improve students’ comprehensive abilities and meanwhile how can students achieve excellent results in TEM-4.
