摘　　要：重叠词是英汉语中共有的一种特殊语言现象,是通过语素重复或部分叠合而形成的。从对比的角度出发,引用大量实例,深入研究并阐述了英汉重叠词在构词形式、语义特征和语用功能三方面的异同,并对英汉重叠词的共性和个性进行了总结。Reduplication,formed by wholly or partially-repeated morphemes,is a special linguistic phenomenon which exists in both English and Chinese.From a contrastive perspective and by citing many examples,the author conducts a profound study and analysis ofthe English and Chinese reduplicative words from the ensuing three aspects:word-formation,semantic features,and pragmatic functions,and then summarizes the similarities and disparities between the two.
