摘　　要：威廉·詹姆斯的思想如“意识流”一样,是融汇于一体的。在其心理学阶段便孕育着尚未完全思考成熟的形而上学的冲动,而在宗教研究阶段,则是其形而上学冲动的现实贯彻,到了彻底经验主义阶段,詹姆斯虽未将彻底经验主义与宗教经验建立直接的联系,但已隐含着对其宗教思想的进一步论证。同时,宗教问题也是牵涉他整个生活的问题,忽视其宗教关怀,就不可能正确理解其彻底经验主义思想。反之亦然。William James’s thoughts,like“stream of consciousness”,are integrated into one.In his psychological stage,he held the metaphysical impulse that had not yet fully thought about maturity,while,in the religious research stage,it was the practical implementation of his metaphysical impulse.In the stage of thorough empiricism,James did not establish a direct connection between thorough empiricism and religious experience,but implied a further demonstration of his religious thought.At the same time,religious issues are also related to his whole life.If he ignores his religious care,it is impossible to correctly understand his thorough empirical thought,vice versa.
