摘　　要：中国经济快速发展,推动国内企业积极参与国际贸易,皮革行业也不例外。在对外交流合作的过程中,中国传统制革技术得到了全新的发展。英语作为最常用的国际语言,在中国皮革企业的对外交流与合作中发挥着重要作用。高职皮革英语课程的创新和核心学科素质的培养是提高学生专业英语水平的关键,也是推动皮革行业专业英语教育和人才培养发展的重要战略。结合皮革专业英语课程的相关设置,研究提高皮革专业英语核心素养的途径。China’s rapid economic development, promote domestic enterprises actively participate in international trade, leather industry is no exception. In the course of foreign exchange and cooperation, Chinese traditional tanning technology has gained brand-new development. As the most commonly used international language, English plays an important role in the foreign exchange and cooperation of China’s leather enterprises. The innovation of leather English courses in higher vocational colleges and the cultivation of core discipline quality are the key to improve students’ professional English level, and also an important strategy to promote the development of professional English education and talent training in leather industry. Combined with the relevant setting of English courses for leather majors, this paper studies the ways to improve the core literacy of English for leather majors.
