基于语料库的林语堂和赛珍珠作品中的中国形象对比研究

摘　　要：笔者基于自建的林语堂和赛珍珠作品语料库,借助自然语言处理工具,依据批评话语分析,从多个维度探究林语堂和赛珍珠笔下的中国形象,并与美国《时代》周刊塑造的中国形象进行对比。研究发现,两位作家的写作风格迥异,赛珍珠侧重传播中国的社会生活形态,而林语堂侧重传播中国的文化精神,刻画的中国形象也更加积极。This paper is based on the self-built corpus of Lin Yutang’s and Pearl Buck’s works.With the help of natural language processing tools and critical discourse analysis,this paper analyzes China’s images portrayed by Lin Yutang and Pearl Buck from multiple dimensions,and compares them with that created by Time.The results show that the writing styles of the two writers are quite different.Pearl Buck focuses on spreading China’s social life,while Lin Yutang focuses on spreading China’s cultural spirits,depicting a more positive image of China.
