摘　　要：Recently,an outbreak of severe acute hepatitis of unknown etiology in children has been reported in more than 27 countries worldwide.However,information on its prevalence in different countries and regions is still lacking.The evidence is suggestive of a potential viral infection,but this has not been fully confirmed.Cases of this disease have been reported in children,mainly in those younger than 5years old.The reason for the age range of the disease requires further investigation.
