摘 要:“儿童的世纪”是瑞典教育家爱伦·凯于19世纪和20世纪之交提出的重要论断,基本含义是:全社会应充分意识到儿童对人类的意义且尊重儿童的个性与人格,建设理想家庭与理想学校;理想家庭要充满理性的光明,理想学校应尊重、保护、发展儿童自主人格。“儿童的世纪”成为新教育运动最早的呐喊声,唤醒了千家万户,不仅更新了人们的儿童观、家庭观和学校观,而且对20世纪儿童研究及教育实践产生了潜移默化的影响。在新时代新发展格局下,学习、研究爱伦·凯“儿童的世纪”教育思想,对建设中国高质量的儿童教育与儿童保障体系具有史鉴价值。"The Century of the Child"is an important thesis put forward by Swedish educator Ellen Kay at the turn of the 19th century and the 20th century.The basic meaning is that the whole society should be fully aware of the significance of children to mankind,respect children's individuality and personality,and build up ideal families and ideal schools.The ideal families should be lightened up by ration,and the ideal schools should respect,protect and develop children's independent personality."The Century of the Child"as the earliest cry of the new education movement,awakening thousands of families,not only renewed people's views on children,family and school,but also had a lasting impact on the researches on children and educational practice in the 20th century.In the new era,with new development pattern,studying and digging into Ellen Kay's educational thought of"the Century of the Child"provides historical reference value for building China's high-quality education and security system for children.
