摘　　要：在莎士比亚士比亚所处的时代,整个欧洲爆发了一场“军事革命”,而其中起关键作用的就是火药武器的广泛应用,枪炮代替长矛和弓箭成为战争中的决定性武器。本文拟以莎士比亚的《亨利五世》为例,结合同时代关于火器的古典派与现代派之争,指出莎士比亚戏剧角色对待这一新军事技术复杂而微妙的态度。A “military revolution” took place in Europe in Shakespeare’s time, and the key facts of this revolution were introduction of the gunpowder weapons to replace the lance and the pike. This paper aims to take Shakespeare’s Henry V as an example in the contemporary debate on gunpowder weapons and warfare between ancients and moderns and to show that Shakespeare’s characters participate in this discussion. It points out their complex and subtle attitude towards the new military technology.
