摘　　要：In cognitive linguistics,scholars believe that through the study of the representative concept words of national culture in various languages,we can understand the characteristics of their cognition to the world and cultural thinking.Moreover,stud-ying the dictionary interpretation of conceptual words expressed by these linguistic symbols and the methods of their etymology and meaning expansion can play an important role in studying the characteristics of a nation's cognition and cultural thinking.This paper conducts a comparative study on the dictionary interpretation of the Mongolian conceptual word“MONGO”and clarifies its original meaning and the process of expanding its sense and turning into a terminology.
