国内大学生学术英语写作中非限定性小句使用研究

摘　　要：基于自建学习者写作语料库,本文探究了国内大学生学术英语写作中非限定性小句的使用,结果显示:与小说、新闻等其他书面体裁相比,大学生在英语写作中对非限定性小句的使用频率较低,常用的非限定性小句较为固定,准确率较高,但错误也比较典型。参照“英语语法档案”中对各层级学习者非限定性小句使用语法特征描述,国内大学生对英语非限定性小句的总体使用特征处于《欧洲语言共同参考框架》较低级别,对高水平层级的非限定性小句的掌握较差,且不同年级学生对非限定性小句的使用特征分布基本相似,使用特征相对固化。本研究对于提高国内大学生学术英语写作中非限定性小句的使用以及实施有针对性的大学英语教学具有一定的启示,同时也对《中国英语能力等级量表》中有关非限定性小句的特征描述提供了实证性证据支持。Based on a home-developed learner corpus,the current study explores Chinese college students’use of non-finite clauses in their academic English essay writing.The results reveal that in comparison with other written genres(e.g.,fiction,news),in academic essay writing in general,learners’use of non-finite clauses was of low frequency,with fixed patterns,high accuracy and typical errors.With reference to the criterial features described in the English Grammar Profile,which is in alignment with the CEFR,it is found that Chinese college students’mastery of non-finite clauses is relatively at a lower level,and learners across different grades demonstrate similar and relatively fixed features.This research can shed some light on enhancing Chinese college students’performance in their academic English essay writing,and on improving English teaching of nonfinite clauses.Moreover,this research can provide some empirical evidence for further enrichment of the CSELA descriptors over non-finite clauses.
