摘　　要：托妮·莫里森的小说《柏油娃娃》取材于非洲民间故事“柏油娃娃”,通过吉丁和威廉·格林的爱情故事以及白人和黑人间的相处模式等显现了黑白种族文化的对立与统一,阐释了莫里森的文化理想。小说意在说明各民族文化大融合是历史发展的必然趋势,任何民族都不能固守本民族文化而止步不前。多元化思维模式的建构才是促使人类发展的真理。Tar Baby written by Toni Morrison,based on an African folktale named “Tar Baby”,portrayed opposition and uniformity between African-American and the White ethnic cultures through the love story between Jadine and Son as well as the relationship between the white and the African-Americans,which illustrated Morrison’s cultural ideal.The readers are warned of the fact that integration of different ethnic cultures is the definite tendency of the history,thus none of the nations can blindly adhere to its own ethnic culture.The development of the human beings can only be urged by the construction of diversified thinking mode.
