摘　　要：思想政治教育本质是思想政治教育学基本理论问题,研究思想政治教育本质问题,对思想政治教育基本理论建设具有重要意义。文章总结了思想政治教育本质研究经历的各个发展阶段及其特点,分析了不同发展阶段取得的共识以及争论的问题在不同层面形成的导向,提出坚持用马克思主义理论和方法对不同的导向进行辨析,用应然本质指导实践,需要以国家这个概念为核心进一步探讨思想政治教育本质。The essence of ideological and political education reflects the basic theoretical issues of ideo-logical and political education.The research on the essence of ideological and political education is of great significance to the basic theoretical construction of ideological and political education.This paper summariz-es the various development stages and characteristics of the research of the essence of ideological and politi-cal education,analyzes the consensus obtained in different development stages and the guidance formed by the controversial issues at different levels,and proposes that the Marxist theory and method should be used to differentiate the different guidance,and the essence of necessity should be used to guide practice.It is nec-essary to further explore the essence of ideological and political education with the concept of country as the core.
