摘 要:新中国成立前的半个世纪,作为我国最重要的高等师范院校,国立西北师范学院及其前身国立北平师范大学从创建到发展壮大,充分见证了近代中国高等教育的变迁。尤其在自身的变革途程中,一批有识之士抱定师范教育与民族存亡、国家富强的宗旨,与师范废除论者进行了激烈的论争,他们是高等师范教育制度变革与实践的引领者、内部体系建设的探索者、高等师范教育独立体系的维护者和发展高等师范教育思想的贡献者,为近代中国高等师范教育制度的探索与定型作出了重要贡献。In the half century before the founding of People’s Republic of China,as one of the most important teacher’s universities in China,National Northwest Normal University and its predecessor National Peking Normal University witnessed the changes of higher education in modern China.Especially in the course of its reform,a group of people of insight held on to the aim of pedagogical education for the survival of the nation and the prosperity of the country.They had fierce debates with the pedagogical education abolitionists,which made important contributions to the exploration and establishment of higher pedagogical education system in modern China.Specifically,they are not only leaders in the reform and practice of Chinese higher pedagogical education system,but also explorers in the construction of the internal system of higher normal universities.Moreover,they are defenders of Chinese higher pedagogical education system and contributors to the development of pedagogical thought.
