模因论翻译观及其在翻译实践中的应用——以《孔乙己》杨宪益夫妇译本为例

摘　　要：翻译模因论对翻译实践有较强的启发作用。借助翻译模因观,应用切斯特曼提出的五种翻译超级模因,探究《孔乙己》杨宪益夫妇译本的翻译情形可见,译本所采用的策略和方法较好地实现了切斯特曼提出的五种超级翻译模因在汉英翻译中的恰当转换,从而保证了较高的英语译文质量。这一结果也证明,在汉英翻译中对翻译模因(尤其是五种超级翻译模因)的恰当转换是保证译文质量的关键一环。Translation memetics has had a powerful and enlightening effect on translation practice.In light of the memetic view of translation,this paper examines ways of replicating and disseminating Chinese cultural memes from the perspective of translation memetics as set out in Kong Yiji,an article translated by Yang Xianyi and his wife with the application of the five translation super-memes proposed by Andrew Chesterman.It is observed from this work that the translation strategies and methods adopted well represent an appropriate transfer of the above-mentioned five super-translation memes in the course of translation,so that high quality of the translated text is ensured.Accordingly,it can be seen that in Chinese-English translation,the proper application of translation memes(especially the five super-memes)is key to ensuring the quality of translations and demonstrates the positive effect of translation memetics.
