摘  要:普契尼笔下的《蝴蝶夫人》是西方误读东方的文学表征。美华剧作家黄哲伦以此为蓝本,创作了互文戏剧《蝴蝶君》,其中人物剧情的颠覆性书写和对“蝴蝶”意象的戏仿,使东方形象在西方指意场域下流动多变、阈限逢生。两剧对比折射出作者拆解东方性别寓言、打破固化意象和消弭话语规约的三维解构策略,表达了由表及里祛除东方主义对立、追求多元文化共生的愿景。Madame Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini is considered as one of the classic cultural works in which the oriental world is misread.Chinese-American dramatist David H.Hwang creates an intertextual play named M.Butterfly based on Madame Butterfly.By the use of inverse writing for characteristics,plots and parodying the “butterfly” image,the oriental world is successfully detached from a western “defining field”,so that invariable oriental images are replaced by flowing and freely-switching ones.The contradictions between two works encourage audience members have a clear view of the deconstructive strategy the author uses for challenging the gender allegory of Asia,the stereotyped cultural images and the limitation of power discourses.This fact manifests the author’s pursuit of aiming to undermine the biased representation of culture and achieving cultural symbiosis through the practice of this strategy.
