摘　　要：肯尼斯·雷克思罗斯是继庞德之后第二位联结中美文化的重要美国诗人。专著《肯尼斯·雷克思罗斯与<道德经>》以《道德经》在雷克思罗斯诗歌创作中的接受及变异为焦点,基于大量的文本研究及训诂考据,深入探讨了道家思想对雷克思罗斯的影响,揭示了雷克思罗斯崇尚老子思想,厌倦西方文化,力图以道家求救赎的哲学倾向。专著融中外,通古今,旁征博引,妙解连篇,是对雷克思罗斯研究的重要补充,也对国内美国文学研究及比较文学、跨文化研究有重要价值。Kenneth Rexroth is the second American major poet who connects Chinese and American culture,coming only after Ezra Pound.On the basis of a wide range of annotation and textual research as well as intensive close reading,Kenneth Rexroth and Dao Dejing makes a thorough investigation on the influence of Daoist thoughts in Rexroth’s poetic creation,especially the acceptance and variation of Dao Dejing.It reveals Rexroth’s reverence for Daoism and condemnation of Western culture as well as his philosophical inclination to search for salvation in the Daoist thoughts for the fallen Western civilization.The work integrates Eastern and Western thoughts and classics,connects ancient and contemporary times,and uses multidisciplinary methods.It presents not only a substantial fund of research,but also a good deal of original interpretation.All this enriches the study of Rexroth in China as well as the studies of American literature,comparative literature,and cross-cultural studies.
