摘　　要：The specifc skeletal cell types involved in bone formation around the sinus remain unclear.In a recent paper published in Cell Research,Weng et al.identify a novel lineage with mixed epithelial and osteoblast features that mediates bone formation in regenerative procedures involving the maxillary sinus.
