从语用学角度浅析《喜福会》中的语码转换

摘　　要：美籍华裔作家谭恩美的《喜福会》是一本描述华裔移民生活的英文小说。文章将从语用学角度,结合Verschueren的语言顺应论和于国栋的顺应模式浅析《喜福会》中语码转换的语用功能,从语言现实、社会习俗和心理动机3个方面来分析小说中的语码转化现象,解读英汉语码转换在《喜福会》中的作用,尝试从语用学的角度去欣赏文学作品,探讨英汉语码转换中体现的东西方文化差异。Chinese-American writer Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club is an English novel describing Chinese American immigrants’life.From the perspective of pragmatics,combined with Jef Verschueren's linguistic adaptation theory and Yu Guodong's adaptation model,the pragmatic function of code-switching(CS)in the Joy Luck Club will be analyzed.The article gives a brief analysis on the phenomenon of CS in the novel from three aspects:language reality,social customs and psychological motivation,and explain the role of English-Chinese CS in Joy Luck Club.It also attempts to appreciate literary works from the perspective of pragmatics and explore the cultural differences between the east and the west embodied in English-Chinese CS.
