摘　　要：Spring is the season for cleaning house and clearing out winter clutter.But many in China are taking it a step further by streamlining their lifestyle withduansheli.The word is three separate Chinese verbs:duan("cut out")she("abandon")and li("leave").When combined,they mean“throw away useless stuff”Rooted in yoga meditative practices that focus on getting rid of all distracting thoughts,the concept hit the mainstream when Japanese author Hideko Yamashita adapted it for home storage and organization,encouraging people to acquire less and to get rid of the things just collecting dust.
