摘　　要：约翰·贝拉米·福斯特(John Bellamy Foster)是国际知名的生态马克思主义理论家,现任美国著名左翼杂志《每月评论》(Monthly Review)主编、俄勒冈大学社会学教授。他早年的学习涉及科学、哲学、历史、新闻学、政治经济学和政治理论,1984年在加拿大多伦多的约克大学获得博士学位。福斯特的博士论文经修订和扩充后,以《垄断资本主义理论:阐发马克思主义政治经济学》为题,于1986年由美国每月评论出版社出版。1979年,福斯特发表长篇论文《美国和垄断资本:过剩产能问题》,奠定了他与保罗·斯威齐(Paul Sweezy,1910—2004)之间的合作基础,并由此开启了自己的学者生涯。福斯特以马克思主义政治经济学为研究纲领,聚焦于资本主义经济、政治和生态矛盾的历史和理论研究,有数量丰富的著作和论文问世,并作为一位重要的生态马克思主义理论家和环境社会学家而享誉世界。The practice of ecological civilization in today’s world must move towards socialism.China’s ecological civilization thought,which integrates the essence of socialism with Chinese characteristics,ecological Marxism and traditional Chinese culture,ensures that China has a comprehensive,profound and feasible roadmap of ecological transformation,and then makes outstanding achievements in the practice of ecological civilization.By contrast,the Green New Deal under the western democratic political system determined by monopoly capital can merely be a slogan,not really solving the ecological environment problems.When the global ecological crisis is increasingly becoming the leading factor governing material conditions,it is inevitable that the environmental proletariat will emerge all over the world.The environmental proletariat is the most basic and prime subject of ecological revolution to realize ecological civilization.China’s role in promoting ecological civilization as a stage in the development of socialism can be seen as its greatest gift to the world at present in terms of global environmental governance.Ecological civilization construction requires a reform in the current education system.Education should be understood as an interaction in which students and teachers learn together as much as possible.Thus,education should be made itself a revolutionary process aimed at both universal goals and the immediate needs of the population.In this process,what is of extreme importance is the imagination of and the belief in a community constructed by human beings with each other and with the earth.Chinese college students can make a contribution to ecological civilization construction by synthesizing recent development in Marxist ecology and China’s theory and practice of ecological civilization in order to bring more clarity to both,which matters a lot to the future of China and the whole world.
