摘　　要：边缘是空间研究中的重要具象概念,以中国边疆屯戍史所呈现的“点型空间”嵌入路径与斯科特的“佐米亚”山地文明观构建的远离国家中心的“游离型”边缘空间进行对照辨识,可以从建构方式和内容结构两方面突破“佐米亚”边缘空间的“游离”性界定,形成对边缘空间中“点型嵌入”模式演进认识,并据此深入探索空间中心与边缘的关系样态,理解“多元一体”格局的形成脉络。Garrison policy-an important way for Chinese successive central dynasties to govern frontier areas-breaks through Scott’s view of marginal space( the “ Zomia”) in terms of construction mode and content structure and establishes an evolutionary pattern of the relationship between central space and frontier space. The policy,moreover,establishes a connection between the center and the frontier of the dynasties through the spatial form of “points-embedding”. That is,it gives birth to a material border space that inherits the value system of the central civilization,extends creates a horizontal connection between the “point” spaces,and expands the influence of central power by connecting the separate spaces into lines.This garrison method appears to highlight the formation of a “ pluralistic unity” pattern of the Chinese nation and differs from Scott’s view that the dynasty managed the borderlands through violent political control. The policy furthermore seems to show that embedding the frontier region and maintaining its independence from the original space works as a unique way for the central government to manage the frontier space. On the one hand,from the perspective of economic development, the embedding of the early frontier space does not cause the groups to flee but attracts them to the frontier space through advanced commercial expansion. Therefore, it indirectly promotes the collapse of backward production relations and methods. On the other hand,research results show that the embedded frontier space advances cultural prosperity and societal communication and plays an important role in a later stage of the development of garrison space. In the process of embedding the garrison into the original local space,the garrison opens up potential close communication between the local space and the central space through the independent operation of the regional economy and culture.
