《汉书》“选文”功能探赜——兼谈《汉书》对《后汉书》及《昭明文选》选文的启示

摘　　要：史籍本身担负着文学选本的功能。通过梳理可知,《汉书》选录的各类西汉之文共计一千零一十篇,这些文章不仅在传中人物刻画及辅助行文叙事等方面具有点睛之功,还为后世遴选出了代表汉人审美的文学作品,集中彰显了《汉书》作为史籍所具有的“选文”功能。与此同时,《汉书》的选文观为以《后汉书》为代表的史部著作和以《昭明文选》为代表的集部著作提供了选文范例,在选文体式与录文规模等方面提供了参考样式。至于班固所追求的“典雅”与“精约”的创作指归,亦被后世诸家所沿用。这不仅促进了后代史学的进一步发展,也促进了后世文学诸体在内容与体例上的不断完善与渐趋成熟。Historical books themselves serve the function of literary anthologies.Through combing,it can be seen that there are a variety of 1010 articles in Western Han Dynasties selected and recorded in Hanshu.These articles not only have the finishing touch on the character description and auxiliary narration in the biography,but also select representative Han people for later generations.Aesthetic literary works have played a role in boosting the canonization of Western Han literature,highlighting the Hanshu function of “selecting essays” as a historical work.At the same time,the selection of essays in Hanshu provides examples of selecting essays for the works of the History Department represented by the Post Hanshu and the works of Jibu represented by “Selected Works of Zhaoming”,which gives the latter a reference style.As for the creation references of “elegance” and “precision” that Ban Gu pursued,it was also used by later generations.This not only promoted the further development of historiography in the Han Dynasty,but also promoted the continuous improvement and maturity of the content and style of later literature.
