论《海与毒药》中的罪感与责任

摘　　要：远藤周作是日本第三新人派代表作家,《海与毒药》是其以日本九州帝国大学医学部对美军俘虏进行活体解剖实验为题材的长篇小说。小说中的日本人内心缺乏罪恶感,深受耻感文化影响的他们会根据外部世界的评价来调整自己的行为。背叛集体对善于服从的日本人来说是一种耻辱。个人融入集体后,思想、行为模式等都会发生变化,极易丧失自己的思考和判断,沦为集体的“齿轮”,那些缺乏独立思维和反省能力的作恶者成为平庸之恶的代表。而判断个体是否有罪,不应从其集体身份入手,而是应该从个体出发着眼于他参与犯罪行为的程度。Shusaku Endo is the representative author of Japan′s“Third Generation of New Japanese”.His works The Sea and Poison,based on Experiment of“Human Anatomy”implemented on American captives by Japan′s Kyushu Imperial University.The Japanese in the work lack the consciousness of sin.Deeply influenced by the culture of shame,they will adjust their behavior based on the evaluation of the outside world.The betrayal of the collective is a shame to the obedient Japanese.After the individual joins the collective,his thoughts and behavior patterns will change.He will easily lose his own thinking and judgment,and will be willing to be the“gear”of the collective,those who lack independent thinking and the ability to reflect on the perpetrators become the representative of the banality of evil.To judge whether the individual is guilty or not,we should not start with his collective identity.The correct approach is to focus on his criminal acts as an individual.
